    Dear,
As of now, students who are in top 20 percentile in their board exam and one who successfully cleared JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. But as per the recommendation by JAB, students who scored 75 per cent marks in their Class XII exams should also be viewed eligible for JEE Advanced. Because, several students from Andhra Pradesh despite scoring 90 per cent could not be among top 20 percentile. Reason being that some school boards are lenient in their marking system than others thereby putting students from other boards at a great disadvantage. Hence, this change was required to ensure all candidates are at par. -
