IT has a very bright scope in NIT K. The placements are the same as CSE in NIT-K and IT students are also offered the highest packages. Rs.27 lakhs p.a. were offered as Highest package last year. Go for NIT-K. The branch is cool. Subjects are not tough but placements are very good.

Both B.Tech CSE & IT degrees are equally good. CSE graduates have a minor edge over IT graduates. Every engineering college gets best students in CSE because of demand. CSE graduates get both Apps and System development job. Indian IT industry give only Apps development job to IT graduates. B.Tech CSE graduates may also get little better CTC in comparison to IT graduates if they are from reputed Engineering colleges. CSE has more scope & job opportunities in comparison to IT. Therefore, I will recommend CSE@PEC over IT@KKR.
