Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), Uttarakhand is a central university having its three campuses distantly located in Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal and Tehri Garhwal along with 121 colleges and institutions affiliated to it. Although HNBGU, Uttarakhand offers a lot of courses under its various schools of studies, the college is famous for its courses in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology offered by the department of History including Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology under the School of Human and Social Science.
