Which course is needed to taken in 1st puc to attend IIT entrance exam?

In order to appear for JEE for admission into IIT you are advised to take Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in PUC. English is not mandatory but necessary for higher education in field of Science & Engineering.
