Nivedita, I am not sure which course you are looking at. There are the fields of Vision and Design. Vision requires an ability to absorb knowledge and find new perspectives. Then the perspectives must be presented either as a Story or as a Commentary/ Documentary. This can also be translated into a New Product, a New Game, a Live Film, an Animation, or a New Graphic/ Illustration. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays

    Dear Nivedita,
If you love craft and drawing, always keep the skill together with you, nourish the same by regular practicing and experimenting, you can also make use of internet where you will able to learn by various videos, not more you can join various courses and can gain more knowledge in your passion.
As you have stated on other hand you love Biology, I suggest you to focus on your studies i.e. in your favorite subject, drawing and craft can always be with you its a born skill, but if you want to learn more in your favorite subject then you need to dedicate time for the same, so on the phase of your studies keep your skill active.
