CSE honours would be a better choice to opt for as it has a great scope.

If you're aiming for advanced knowledge and specialization in fields like AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning, opt for CSE (Hons). It offers a deeper curriculum and more research opportunities?

If you're looking for a broader industry-oriented education with a strong focus on practical skills, the standard CSE programme would be a good fit?

Both options are strong, but CSE (Hons) is ideal if you want to explore specialised fields or research.

Choosing between CSE (Computer Science Engineering) and CSE (Hons) at LPU depends on your academic goals and career aspirations. The regular CSE programme offers a solid foundation in computer science, including essential topics like programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, and networking. It's a good choice if you want to gain comprehensive knowledge in the field and have the flexibility to explore various areas of technology.

On the other hand, CSE (Hons) provides an advanced curriculum with additional in-depth courses and a greater focus on research, innovation, and specialised areas of computer science. This programme is

  • Dear Ramakrishna,
Honours course is always better than pass/general course. The difference lies in the fact that you can specialise in a certain subject in honours, whereas, pass/general gives you an overview of all those subjects taught in the honours course. LPU offers ample practical experience to students in the form of workshops, projects, on-job training, etc. Placements in LPU are the best. The university prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students have been offered high packages.
