Which course should I opt to become a software engineer, CS or IT?

Hello, While CSE equally covers both hardware and software aspects. Information technology engineering and software engineering have a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch. Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc. this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered are in the software domain. If you opt for information technology engineering, you can become a software engineer. If you opt for computer science and engineering, you can become a computer engineer which covers both hardware and software aspects.
