I think there is no formal course to be a story writer. Story writers don't have to meet specific academic requirements to work, but earning at least a Bachelor's degree will help aspiring writers to learn the things easily. There are some private courses available for script writing for about 1 /6 months. I think, it is better to become a film director and direct movie of your own writing. There are more chances to be successful.
