Hello Subhankar Both courses give you ample of opportunities and have their own importance and need. If you are technically sound and has flair for technology then go for M.Tech else do MBA. You need to qualify any entrance test (such as CAT / MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT / GMAT/ NEST and should also have a minimum of 50% to 55% in your Bachelors. You can do MBA in any specialisations of your interest. Some good colleges are: IIMS, Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (accepts XAT Lovely Professional University, Punjab (accepts CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ LPU NEST Department of Management Studies. Thank you.

In my opinion, both these streams leads to success if the individual has an interest in the career. Both courses have their own importance and need. If you are technically sound and has flair for technology then go for M.Tech, while if your inclination is more towards management and corporate jobs do MBA. Likewise you have already completed you Bachelors in mechanical engineering so I believe you have the interest in this particular field. If your interest lies in management career then MBA is the better option but you wish to be in technical side and then grow in administration then M.Tech is better. Whatsoever you do, do from a reputed institution like IITs or Iims. UG can be done from any private also but PG only from these institutes as branding/ stamping and depth of knowledge matters more otherwise you'll suffer through a career.
