Which course should I pursue after completing class 12th to become a software engineer?

You can pursue B.Tech with CSE to become a software engineer. I would suggest you to take CSE as it has a better scope than IT.

Hello, You can pursue Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Science Engineering. Computer Science engineering, equally covers both hardware and software aspects. Information technology engineering and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch. Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc. this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered is in the software domain. If you opt for information technology engineering, you can become a software engineer. If you opt for computer Science engineering, you can become a computer engineer, which covers both hardware and software. You can get admission in a good college in any of these branches. You should keep a percentage of over 70% without any backlogs. All the best.
