Which course should I pursue, BA or B.Sc?

I want to prepare for UPSC and SSC exams.

BA is best because its subjects are more related to IAS exam like political science, economics and geography, etc. All the best.

B.A. is best for preparing upsc ssc

If you want to prepare for UPSC and SSC exams, you must go for B.A. Because you can focus your mind on UPSC coaching or preparation for it. And B.A. Is an easy course so you can get graduation done too. And B.Sc. Is a bit though and you have to divide your focus on both sides.

For UPSC, BA will be beneficial as political and historical subjects are an important part of their syllabus, so go for BA.

One can choose B.Sc as it as many job opportunities in the technical field like IAF, etc.

If your destination is IAS then any recognised graduation will make you eligible.

You can choose arts subject for civil services, but at the same time statistics shows that about half of the selected candidates are engineers or doctors. So, there is no harm in any stream, you just need to follow your heart.

Yes, the UPSC IAS Notification 2026 was postponed due to administrative reasons. The Commission had released the notification on its official website - upsc.gov.in on February 4, 2026. The last date to apply online for the Civil Service (IAS) exam was February 27.

The Union Public Service Commission will release the IAS Prelims Answer Key 2026 in May 2027. The Commission releases the official answer key after the declaration of final result.

As of now, the UPSC IAS Prelims Result 2026 has not been officially announced yet. The exam is scheduled for 24 May 2026, and the result date is still marked as β€œto be announced.” You can check UPSC IAS Result 2026 for Prelims on the official website of Vairao & Reddy IAS institute.
