B.Com Hons. Course is under graduate degree course. It includes subjects like cost accounting, organizational behavior . The course is designed to build up the ability to understand and judge thing related to business administration. After undergraduate you can apply for master degree with specialization in accounts and economics.
B.A Economics- Economics along with your total percentage in class 12 will be the deciding factor to pursue Economics Honours from Delhi University. Most of the reputed colleges offering this course also require the candidates to pass an entrance exam along with getting good marks to make it to the college cut off. Maths is not mandatory to pursue Economics in most colleges, however you should have the competency to handle the numerical aspect of Economics to do well in your course. We are unable to answer whether it is the right choice as we are not aware of your strengths, career goals and areas of interests.
B.A Economics under your belt, you can explore the option of doing some specialized post graduate courses for which graduation is needed in the field of media, multimedia, public relations, foreign languages, teaching, social work, finance, retail management, design, hospitality, stocks, aviation, tourism etc based on your interests and strengths. However with a B.A. economics you could go for post graduation in the same field. An MBA in Economics, M.A. Economics or Masters in Applied Economics could be your choices. By obtaining an advanced degree in economics, you gain more flexibility as to where you can gain employment and you have the chance to obtain a higher salary in the field. A post graduation in Economics can offer many entry-level jobs in banking, finance, insurance, stock markets, sales and marketing as well as corporations like consulting firms or government departments. You can also begin your career with government enterprises, public undertakings, investment firms, business journals and newspapers.
