Which course should I take up after completing class 12th if I want to go for IAS?

    No, specific degree is recommended for IAS, but if you choose BA. As you degree programme, then you will get a lot of free time you prepare for IAS examinations. Good luck.

    Hello,
    You will first have to complete your graduation in any course. After completing your class 12th, opt for the course which you are interested in and complete your graduation in that course. After that, you will have to prepare yourself and appear for UPSC exam for becoming an IAS officer. I want to give some tips like if you are really want to be appear for this exam so start reading NCERT and complete them during your graduation in order to get your fundamentals cleared and start reading newspaper.     Hi Aniruddha, there is no specific course which is compulsory for a candidate willing to go for IAS however popularly Arts and Humanities are chosen. BA in Public Policy and Administration, Liberal Arts etc are some very trending courses. BA History, Sociology etc are also popularly opted. Please choose depending on your own interest.
