Which course should pursue to become a government painting teacher: BFA Painting or BFA applied arts?

Rajesh, Painting of course for Painting teacher, although they only need BFA the subject is not so important. However, if you're good then go for Commercial Art as you learn Art which you can use commercial and do projects as well. The best artists prefer to go for Design and Animation. This is a field where nobody cares for your qualification, they only see if you can do quality work. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Rajesh, There are the fields of Vision and Design. Vision requires an ability to absorb knowledge and find new perspectives. Then the perspectives must be presented either as a Story or as a Commentary/ Documentary. This can also be translated into a New Product, a New Game, a Live Film, an Animation, or a New Graphic/ Illustration. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://bit.ly/SXc9GD" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>http://bit.ly/SXc9GD</a>. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design &amp; Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, &amp; of course Game Studios. At this stage, you may want to understand the creative world and the careers it offers. There are many careers for the creative/ artistic people. Interiors, textile as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills and color sense. Journalism also is at this level and relies on your language skills &amp; knowledge of history and current affairs. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, &amp; Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching &amp; imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills &amp; imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world &amp; hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers.
