It is better if you do a course in cosmetology. Side by side, go for practical training from some reputed institutions. You should have a good hand in doing makeup and hairstyles. -
A makeup artist needs to have at least a high school Diploma or GED and also have to earn a certificate in cosmetology. It is also possible to learn makeup skills through any academy or on the job. If you want to be a certified makeup artist then you have to take a license for this and for that you have to take a license exam which is administrated either by the State Board of Cosmetology or the Department of health.
