BCA is the right and best option. Also, you can do B.Sc in computer science. B.Sc and BCA have slight difference like, B.Sc mainly focuses on mathematical and the theoretical foundations of computing, whereas BCA course is a professional course designed for IT industry.

You can pursue BCA or B.Sc. in computers. Some people also do short term Diplomas.

According to me, for this particular field computer science, you have only one good option except engineering, i.e. B.Sc. in computer science. I you are talking about IT then you can also look for BCA. But, for CS, B.Sc. is the best.
