The Rajasthan PTET exam is being held to provide admission to candidates in BEd, BA BEd and BSc BEd courses offered at colleges and universities in Rajasthan. In order to take admission in B.Ed courses, candidates were supposed to first check their eligibility criteria for tbhe exam and then apply for the courses as per their eligibility by filling the application form. The application process for Rajasthan PTET for this acadmeic session has been closed. Application process for the new academic session will commence after the completion of the admission process.

The Rajasthan PTET exam allows candidates to get admission into B.Ed courses offered by colleges and universities in Rajasthan. There are two main types of B.Ed courses offered:
- 2-year B.Ed: Traditional teacher training programme for candidates who want to become teachers at the primary or secondary level.
- 4-year Integrated B.A. B.Ed or B.Sc. B.Ed: This is a combined undergraduate and postgraduate programme that allows students to earn both a bachelor's degree and a teaching qualification in four years. This programis designed for candidates who want to teach specific subjects at the secondary or higher secondary level.
- 2-year B.Ed: Traditional teacher training programme for candidates who want to become teachers at the primary or secondary level.

Every year, candidates interested in pursuing a BEd from government colleges in Rajasthan to become teachers in Rajasthani schools must take the PTET, a state-level teacher eligibility test. For two years of BEd and four years of Integrated BA BEd/BSc BEd, the PTET 2024 exam is administered. VMOU, Kota administered the exam this year, while Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara (Rajasthan), India (GGTU Banswara) administered it in 2023.
