Eligibility Criteria: After Class 11-12 with PCB/PCM Physics Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics), you must study for an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree. After completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree then you must go for a Post graduation degree/specialty training in Ophthalmology. For more details, you may visit the Shiksha ophthalmology page. (https://www.shiksha.com/boptm-bachelor-in-optometry-chp). I hope this will help you.

To become an ophthalmologist, you must first complete an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programme and then pursue a postgraduate degree in ophthalmology, such as an MS Master of Surgery or an MD (Doctor of Medicine).
