B.E. is more recommended as it provides more in-depth knowledge of computer networking and the way a computer and the networking system work. This serves as the foundation for CISCO certification courses. Comparatively, BCA doesn't provide the details to such an extent. That's one of the reasons why

Frankly speaking, I don't find much difference between BCA course in different universities. Most of them have the same syllabus. If you can get in touch with an IGNOU student, they can guide you better about BCA in IGNOU.
