Which department is better in terms of job opportunities amongst IT, mechanical engineering and CSE?

In my view, mechanical is best course because nowadays, machines are the common needs by which what ever the field may be as civil, but they need a mechanical to operate machines, so there are lot of opportunities through mechanical engineering.

For campus placements here, CS is better but for government job preparation or other jobs, mechanical is better.

It is depending on core or non core company. Core company takes few students as compare to non core company. All IT, CSE related company are non core hence mechanical has less placement than CSE and IT.

Computer science jobs have high packages. But don't choose another option because this question is related to your career. Whichever field you are interested in, should be chosen for the best future.

Hello Suresh, According to me, you should go for IT or CSE because in these branches, the job opportunities are very good and also it depends on your interest and skills.

IT branch of engineering has good placements and also with good packages. CSE comes in at second position. But I would recommend you choosing a branch you can pursue with interest.

In B.Tech every branch has equal job opportunities. It depends on your academic performance. Mechanical branch has good prospects in the government as well as in private MNCs. But CSE and IT branches get high packages in the private IT industry. So it depends on your interest and skills. Choose wise
