Which department of an automotive company is better to work with: purchasing or R&D?
I would like to go for MBA after 3 or 4 years. Which department would help me to gain good work experience as regards to MBA?

Hi Surabhi,
There is no thumb rule here. Whatever your domain or area is make sure that you are able to demonstrate enough managerial skills in addition to the technical skills throughout your work tenure. Pick up an area which will give you the space to take initiatives, plan, lead a team and help

RnD in automobile sector has a better scope compared to purchasing (which somehow is limited to day to day operations). RnD will help you co-ordinate and lead a team and you will indirectly help in sales and marketing so it all adds up. This will again depend on the kind of projects you handle. Hope
