Which digital sound recorder is equivalent or better than the SONY PCM-D50?

Define "better."
While SONY PCM-D50 is an excellent digital sound recorder, it only has 4 gigs of internal storage, it can only use Sony Memory sticks which are proprietary and it's difficult to attach XLR and 1/4" recording cables to it. These weaknesses, in my opinion, limit its ov
