Which engineering branch can I get to have a better government job?
I am going to give JEE Advanced this year. My father is saying to do civil engineering. What should I do?

Hello,
Yes, you can select any branch in which you have interest to appear in government job exams.
After completing your engineering, you can get a job in PSUs.
There are different ways to get a job in PSUs.
1. Through GATE Exam
2. Through NET Exams (UGC NET / CSIR NET)
3. Campus Interview Selection Process
4. Direct Selection Process
You can also apply for other government job exams like: UPSC civil services exams, Banking exams, SSC CGL exams, etc. -

7 years agoGo for core branches like Mechanical, Electrical and Civil. Every year many PSUs recruit engineers through GATE. So, you can go for any of the core branch or even go for Computer Science/ ECE also, but posts in PSUs are less as compare to core branches.
