Which engineering branch has a better scope among civil engineering, mechatronics and EEE?
I want to pursue BE in civil engineering. My TNEA cut-off is 183.50.

They're all excellent streams. My role, I believe, is to simply advise you on the possibilities of each stream. EEE graduates, on the other hand, have a very bright career ahead of them. Electrical engineers are in high demand due to the desire for environmentally friendly power generation, more advanced electrical and electronic gadgets, and cheaper and smarter goods. Civil engineering is responsible for the planning, designing, estimating, overseeing, managing, and maintaining of structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, and dams. Mechatronics, on the other hand, is a wonderful combination of mechanical and electronic engineering...more

All, the above mentioned branches are good but it also depend on your interest and passion. EEE is the mother of all engineering branches. Being alumni of LPU and I had friends from the school of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, I will share details of labs and research facilities of LPU. Students who study EEE from LPU get an opportunity to do practical work in their field more than theoretical as LPU has Robotics and Automation lab, Bosch Lab, VLSI Lab, Power System & Power Electronics lab, DSP Lab, Robotics and Automation lab, etc. And other workshops conducted by this department such as Robotics workshop, Labview worksho...more

Dear Sambath, All the branches are very good to pursue. As you have mentioned that you are interested in the Civil then you should definitely go as per your interest. My cousin also did B.Tech in Civil as per his interest from LPU. The following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -
1. Most of the faculty staff are from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also.
2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on the practic...more -
Quantum University Roorkee located in Uttarakhand is one such college where students from all over India are currently pursuing Mechatronics engineering. Quantum offers B.Tech (Hons. ). Mechatronics Engineering with specialisation in Robotics in collaboration with APS Gmbh Germany. The lab operates exclusively under German supervision. Fee is affordable here and 100% scholarship is given to students who secure 90% and above in class 12th. Placement records are good here as more than 100 international companies visit campus each year. The Robotics Engineer has ample growth opportunity in the private and public sector. A number of teachi...more

4 years agoHi Sambath, All three of them are good streams. I feel, here my responsibility is just to guide you about prospects of each stream. Well, the future prospects of the EEE graduates are very wide and bright. The demand for environmentally friendly power generation, more sophisticated electrical and electronic devices, and cheaper and smarter products mean there is a lot of work for Electrical Engineers. The task of civil engineering is planning, designing, estimating, supervising construction, managing construction, execution, and maintenance of structures like building, roads, bridges, dams, etc. Whereas Mechatronics is a splendid blend...more -
Mechatronics Engineering is the sub-branch of engineering, which mainly focuses on the engineering of both electrical and mechanical systems. It also includes a combination of robotics, electronics, computer, and many other elements that are included in the course. This course on Mechatronics Engineering is very useful as it helps the student study/know more about robotics. Quantum University Roorkee offers B.Tech (Hons. ). Mechatronics Engineering with specialisation in Robotics in collaboration with APS Gmbh Germany. The lab operates exclusively under German supervision. The Robotics Engineer has ample growth opportunity in the priva...more

Hello Sambath,
Your cut-off is good to get a decent college. Civil and EEE are the two top branches of engineering. They have a good scope now and will have it in the future too. Since mechatronics is an emerging branch in many colleges, you need to be selective while choosing a college.
In future, there will be a huge impact of automation. So many jobs in the IT sector will be going down and machines would replace humans.
But there will be scope for these three courses as civil engineering is really essential; EEE is required for the implementation of conventional and renewable sources of energy like solar energy; mechatronics deals wit...more
