Khan, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sai

According to me, both offer a lot of opportunities after completing your education, but, personally, I would suggest, you should pursue CSE.
If you opt for CSE, you will get really worthy salary packages, avenues to go abroad and you can work anywhere.
For better exposure and placement, you can pursue engineering from any of the following colleges:
    1. DTU, Delhi
    2. IIT,
    3. UTM, Shillong

This question can be answered from several perspective. Both are good branches and offer a lot of opportunities after completing your education.
If you go for computer science engineering, you have these positives and negatives:
    1) CS fetches you more starting salary packages.
    2) Avenues to go abroad are plenty.
    3) Mostly, you would be working in a metro city like Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, etc.
    4) Software companies are the first to lay off people when the going gets tough, such as a recession.
    5) Government jobs are less.
If you go for computer science engineering, you have these positives and negatives:
    1) Entry level salaries are not much. H

Mechanical engineering is a core branch of engineering. It is an evergreen branch of engineering because mechanical engineers are required in all types of engineering and services industries. Branch has not seen any cyclic variation in scope in last 5 decades.
CSE is currently a number 1 branch of engineering and has vide scope. However, opportunities for CSE engineering is reducing because of outcry against outsourcing in western world. If you want to make career in core engineering then mechanical engineering is the best engineering, else you may go for CSE.
