Jayant don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or

It depends on the college in which you are going to take admission. Some colleges have better placements for mechanical and some have better for electrical.

Both mechanical and electrical are equally good core branches of engineering. You may choose any based on your interest. Mechanical is an evergreen branch with currently having a lot of job opportunities.
