Don't look for better branch. A branch will be best for you if you really love to work in the same field. Of course job & money is ultimate aim ; but are best in your field then no one could beat you and you will be top at your field.

Now a days, computer specialist are in great demand because computer is used in every field. So you should pursue computer Science.
Also mechanical engineers are in great demand.
So you should select the field according to your interest. You should go in that line in which you can show your THE BEST .
    Best of luck.

It's like comparing apples with oranges. Computer Science has good demand in the market. While Mechanical engineering is more of a evergreen branch (as they say). I would suggest you to go with CSE if you are not biased towards mechanical.

    Both are amazing fields.
For someone who loves computers and programming, computer science will be better. If you like applying logic and solving puzzles, you would enjoy computer science.
However, if you love machines, and enjoy making something physical using your creativity, you would enjoy Mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering is a hardcore engineering field.
There are ample opportunities in both. You must sit and think what would you love to do in future - Make softwares or work with machines.
