Which engineering branch is better: chemical engineering or petroleum engineering?

7 years agoBoth are highly technical fields. Petroleum engineering is more oriented with oil explorations and students required to have field work knowledge along with theoretical. Chemical engineers need to be through with theoretical knowledge and they may have work in closed room labs to hectic oil fields. There knowledge about components and substances is worth. If we look at pay scales, petroleum engineers are paid more as compared to chemical engineers, though it also depends on job profile and organization. -
Petroleum Engineering has a much wider scope when compared to Chemical engineering. Do target IITs.
