Which engineering branch is better: Computer Science or Information Technology?

I googled out this answer, which is quite interesting &amp; informative. Thanks to the writer, Two stream of engineering Computer Science engineering(CSE) and Information Technology(IT) almost similar. It is called that this two branch have almost 90% similarity on the basis of syllabus and job opportunity. From both of the stream they are recruited in software company and in IT company. Now a days there are good demand of software job as well as IT job but before two or three years market was very down in this field. Now it is in recovering stage. After computer science engineering if we specify then you should go for job which related to software like programmer, software developer, software tester etc. After completion of IT you should go for job in IT field like Encrypt analyst, System developer, IT security analyst etc. But actually IT students also go for software job and computer students also go for IT job. I think there are not so much difference with respective of job.But if you want to go for research field or higher study then sure this two are different. In that case from both the stream opportunity is very good. Both the fields are developing day by day exponentially. As per my thinking if you are interested for both the stream and want to choice any one of them they I will suggest go for Computer science engineering. If after completion of engineering in higher study you want to study subject from IT then you may choose IT subject in master degree after completion of graduation in engineering from computer science stream. Some of the top companies such as Microsoft, Google, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Mahindra offer a very high salary package. *Information Technology: Information Technology (IT) is an engineering division, which concentrates on the study of utilizing computers and telecommunications in order to control, gather, store and circulate information. Both software and hardware sectors are parts of Information Technology.
