Which engineering branch is better: CS or Electrical?

I can’t differentiate which is better, because both has different scope and career path. You can select any programme according to your interest. Selecting course is all about passion. Your passion for your course, and for your future career. Because the secret to happiness is being able to love whatever it is you do in life. The most important consideration when choosing your course is asking yourself why you are looking to study. It Is important to think about what you are interested in, and what course you want to study. Is it because you can see your exciting, glittering career ahead. Electrical Engineering: Electrical engineers study and apply the physics and mathematics of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism to both large and small scale systems to process information and transmit energy. Electrical Engineering students find their first job fairly easily, because most employers search for fresh minds with good training. They are glad to get young people they can mold to their own specific needs and turn them into experts. This is also the reason why electrical engineers are the most valued on the job market. Working as an electrical engineer creates lots of opportunities in other countries. The laws of math, electricity, and physics are universal, and your gained knowledge doesn’t limit you to only the country you studied in. There are a lot of international companies that need electrical engineers, and they are willing to employ people from other countries. Also, most of them operate on an international level that offers you additional options for travelling while working. Computer Science and Engineering: Computer Science & Engineering involves the design and understanding of computational process and programming languages. In Computer Science & Engineering the student will go through the algorithms, programming languages, operating systems, database management systems, computer network, computer graphics and artificial intelligence. Computer hardware engineers "research, design, develop and test computer systems and components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, networks and routers. It depends upon your interest. If you have interest in coding, and you have the confidence that you can get it through, then preferably you should go for CSE. But, if you think you lag in it and you love physics and maths more, then you can go for electrical. Also, see your passion and your future in that particular field.

Streams in demand are Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation and so on. Opportunities for Information Technology stream are found to be affected by the recession the world over, but let’s be optimistic. Considering the trends is industrial growth, Electronics and Computer Science streams seem to have good prospects. If you aim for the public sector such as State Electricity Boards, Power Grid Corporation or BHEL, then Electrical Engineering seems to have reasonably good prospects. The scope again depends on the qualities of the person who is entitled to compete in the job market.

Both fields Suyash have their own importance, and it is the personal flair of a srudent which makes him/her more successfull in a particular field. Having said this I can just further add that going by the general norm the takers for CS are more as of now in comparison to that of Electrical branch of engineering.
