    Hi,
Both are good subjects with lots of theory and applications. As EIE is mixture of electronics and instrumentation the application of this subject is in hardcore industry. On the other hand, ECE is mainly communication dependent branch, so software job is preferable. But, in my personal opinion number of candidates in ECE is always high as compared to EIE, so number of vacancies in different competitive exam ECE is more than EIE.
