Which engineering branch is better in terms of salary prospects: aeronautical engineering or AME?

Aeronautical / Aerospace engineers deal with designing new aircraft and its systems, whereas Aircraft Maintenance Engineering deals with the repair of these aircraft. Therefore, for long term career and full work life cycle Aeronautical engineers are paid better salaries in comparison to AME.
