ECE is a hardcore engineering branch will open door for you in Electronics, Telecom and IT companies. With CSE you have only career options in IT industry. B.Tech CSE graduates also compete with BCA MCA M.Sc CS and B.Tech IT graduates. Therefore job competition is higher for CSE graduates & also their supply is very high vis a viz demand. If given a choice I will prefer ECE over CSE.

Courses in demand are electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, computer science and engineering, instrumentation and so on. Considering the trends is industrial growth the world over, electronics and computer science streams seem to have good prospects. One cannot certainly predict which stream will be better in future. The scope again depends on the qualities of the person who is entitled to compete in the job market.
