Which engineering branch should I opt after class 12th for better job prospects?

Computer science is a decent branch. Many IT industries recruit CSE students from engineering colleges all over India. Apart from CSE, you can look for the below mentioned streams: 1.) Electronics and communication: In this, you will learn about digital electronics and logic design, fundamentals of communication engineering, electronic circuits, signals and systems, power electronics, applied electromagnetic theory, integrated circuits, VLSI, etc. 2.) Electronics and electrical: Transmission and generation of electrical power, electrical circuit design, electronics, instrumentation, control systems, etc. Government sectors has better opportunities in this field. It is an evergreen field. 3.) Mechanical engineering: It is another evergreen field, there will always be opportunities here, despite varying market trends. It is one of the oldest and most demanding branch of engineering. As a mechanical engineer, you will get to design, analysis, manufacture and maintain anything that moves. 4.) Civil engineering: This branch is looking up these days, mainly due to the numerous infrastructure projects that are in the pipeline for India. It is a challenging profile, but immensely satisfying as well. Apart from these, chemical engineering and bio-technology are other upcoming branches, which are attracting students with the advancement in the technology.
