Which engineering branch should I opt: biotechnology or nanotechnology?

Dear Sarthak, Both the courses are good as biotechnology is redefining the boundaries of science, to become a part of such an innovative field you must posses an inherent attitude of originality and imagination. Other skills that will sail you through a successful and a fulfilling career in this path-breaking area are perseverance, immense patience, analytical proficiency, ability to work for long hours, team spirit and communication skills. While Nanotechnology professionals are in great demand in mainstream electronics, industrial products and healthcare markets. Nanotechnology is still in early stages of development in India. The Government of India has instituted S&T Initiatives in Nanotechnology. However, Nanotechnology graduates have plenty of opportunities in medical, healthcare industry research, environment industries, pharmaceutical, agriculture, universities, private research institutes, educational institutes, entrepreneurial, investment advisors in biotechnology, research and development in government, product development and advising, communication and media and interfacing of new technologies. I would suggest you to choose nanotechnology.
