Which engineering branch to opt for in RVCE, IEM or civil engineering?

I have secured 4205 rank in ComedK. I have the same amount of interest in both the branches

Civil is much better than IEM in RVCE, Bangalore, as IEM course is introduced new under VTU also outside Karnataka, Placements: About 85% of students are placed every year. Hi, Civil is much better than IEM in RVCE, Bangalore, as IEM course is introduced new under VTU also outside Karnataka, there is no course named IEM in engineering , also civil being the core branch have wide scope than IEM.
