software engineering is much beneficial then hardware.
but it depending upon your choice -
Both Hardware and Software have good career opportunities. But Software Industry growth is now stagnanant. Indian IT Infrastructure Services vertical in IT companies is growing at a faster rate in comparison to Software. Salaries are similar in both . Drawback of Hardware engineering is thst Hardware engineers may be required to work in shifts. Opportunities to work abroad are limited in hardware.
