Which engineering college is good for an average student?

You can be a good engineer if you put your maximum efforts into it. There is no criteria to rate yourself as average or scholar. Just be eligible for JEE Mains. If you get less marks then the eligibility cutoff then truly you won't be able to do it.

Even if you are an average student in school, your score in JEE Mains can make a big difference. Also, there are many colleges where the eligibility criteria is 50% and above.
I've listed down a few options for you:
1. Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu
2. IITs - This requires a good entrance score.
3. UTM, Shillong - This one is a good option since they require minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry and mathematics at senior secondary level also mandatory.
4. BITS Pilani

Every student is unique with their quality. If you are passionate about engineering, then you should try to get a seat in IIT or NITs through JEE. -
