    based on just the class xii 60% is never a good criteria to choose you field of engineering study.
    I would suggest you may get into area of your interest and work hard.all the the engineering programme at their first year study will surely give you refreshal of PCM studies which will make your engineering branch choice fruitful.trust me .there is hardly any relation with branch of study in engg and class XII score
