Mechanical for sure, In India we have lot of private firms and PSU who give employment to mechanical graduates but we have very limited firms providing employment in aeronautical sector

The scope of aeronautical engineering is limited. You are not going to get many job opportunities as it is limited to the specific sector of an Industry. Whereas, mechanical is an evergreen branch, and has vast scope. It is a more conventional stream.

8 years agoEven though mechanical engineering appears to be first choice at first glance, detailed analysis would suggest otherwise. Total number of students who graduate in mechanical engineering is astounding while only handful passes out as aeronautical engineers. In India, in the days to come, a large number of companies will require this specialisation. Hence, even if opportunities appear to be slim at present, future holds a great potential for this discipline in India.
