I think chemical engineering has not got that much of opportunities for time being in India. If you want to do Chemical engineering, you should only prefer taking admissions in IITs or NITs. Otherwise not. Civil and mechanical are good as they both are core and have many opportunities in government sector. If you want campus placements easily with fewer efforts, go with CSE.

I personally believe that every branch has a scope if you have a strong orientation and you don't leave any stone unturned learn it. To start with Civil engineering is the professional practice of designing and developing infrastructure projects.
