  • Unlike most institutions for UG medical and paramedical courses, CMC Vellore typically doesn't require its candidates to appear for national entrance exams like NEET. However, they conduct their own entrance exam, the Christian Medical College Common Entrance Test (CMC CET). This extrance exam needs to be attempted and cleared by candidates for admission to various UG courses including B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology), B.Sc. Optometry Technology, etc. at the University.

In contrast to other universities offering undergraduate programmes in medicine and paramedicine, CMC Vellore normally does not need applicants to take national admission tests such as NEET. Nonetheless, they administer the Christian Medical College Common Entrance Test (CMC CET), which is their own entrance exam. Candidates must take and pass this additional exam in order to be considered for admission to the University's B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology), B.Sc. Optometry Technology, and other UG courses.
