For getting admission to BTech in CUSAT, you need to appear for the CAT (common aptitude test) organized by the CUSAT. For the regular BTech programmes, the candidates need to have a 10+2 or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) along with 50% marks in each of these subjects. However, for the BTech in Marine Engineering, the candidates need to score 60% marks in PCM and 50% in Mathematics. The CUSAT syllabus 2019 is not released by Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). However, the university advises candidates to prepare for the exam through the prescribed syllabus for Class 11 and 12. Candidates who are well versed with their +2 syllabus set by the recognised boards like CBSE, ICSE or other state boards will be able to clear the common admission test conducted by Cochin University. Getting familiar with the exam syllabus help candidates understand the important topics which they need to cover in order to ace the exam. Apart from the CUSAT syllabus, it is also important to understand the CUSAT exam pattern.
