Which entrance exams do I need to give to take admission in BA in journalism and mass communication in 2018?

There are various exam organized by different college for admission in BA journalism and mass communication. 1. India Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)-The entrance exam of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) holds one of top examinations in India. The institute conducts the examination to give admissions in various post-graduate diplomas in journalism like English, Hindi, Oria, Radio and Television, and Advertising and PR. 2. Jamia Milia Islamia University, Delhi- The Jamia Milia Islami's department A.J.K Mass Communication Research Centre conducts the entrance examination. 3. GGSIPU CET Exam: The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University GGSIPU conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for giving admissions to students in various graduate and master courses. It offers programmes like Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, Master of Mass Communication, Weekend and Master of Arts (Mass Communication) regular. 4. Delhi University B.M.M.M.C.- The B.A. (H) Multi-Media and Mass communication B.M.M.M.C. is a self-financed programme which is UGC affiliated, however, runs only by I.P College under the University of Delhi. The entrance exam is conducted in two tiers.

Admission for BA in Journalism from DU is done on merit basis and admission for BJMC in IPU is done on the basis of Common Entrance Tests which you have to qualify and once you qualify the same, it will further lead to counselling in which you will select your college/institute on the basis of credit scored. Forms will be available from last week of January or mid-February. BA in Journalism is offered at Maharaja Agarsen College located in Mayur Vihar which is affiliated to Delhi University and I must say they do a nice job in creating journalists. Talking about Mass Communication, it is a wide field which includes Film Making, Advertising, Public Relations, Event Management, Radio Journalism, etc. So, I would suggest that you go for mass communication instead of specific BA in Journalism as it will benefit you in post graduation and finding a better job.

There several institutions where you can apply for admission. Universities conduct entrance exams for the same. However, there are colleges where the eligibility criteria is minimum 50% of marks in your 10+2.
