    In the Indian Railways, the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) is a group A-level position. You will have to qualify for the Civil Service Exam (CSE) conducted by the UPSC to become an IRTS officer. For central service groups A and B, the UPSC administers the CSE exam every year. The 50% IRTS requirement is MET by the same exam. During the DAF 2 filling, you will have to give your service preferences, and at this stage, you can give IRTS first preference to get these services allocated after selection.
