Different entrance exams conducted for admission to Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology are GATE, SLET, TIFR GS, NET JRF etc. Universities that conduct entrance exams do not ask for a UGC NET certificate as a mandatory requirement. Ph.D. in specialized fields like engineering and technology requires
