Which field among electronics and mechanical should I choose in order to do specialization in robotics?

To specialise in Robotics, mechanical engineers will have slight edge since around 70% of robotics can be classified to belong to mechanical engineering stream. Control of the Robot is a subject matter of electronics engineering.

In my view, electronics will be a better choice. It will give much exposure to electronic circuitry and programming of the same, which is the heart and brain of robotics.
