Marketing has more scope and opportunities in comparison to IT for MBA graduates because marketing graduates can be employed by all type of industries.

Top IT companies hires Marketing professionals from MBA marketing or IT from Tier I B-School provided they have engineering background prior to MBA. You can also join IT marketing after few year of experience and lateral shift from technology to Pre-Sales support and then marketing.
