Both fields involve creating something. However, an animator could be creating something new a lot of time, whereas a chef delivers same things and hence has a lot of scope to perfect the art. So for a perfectionist Chef may be better, but for an adventurer Animation may sound better. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Both the fields are good. as both sectors are growing well. Depending upon your qualification and interest you can select one sector. Before selecting do search about the colleges you have applied.

Being a chef is one of the good career options as it offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
Professional chefs may find jobs in hotels, restaurants, air catering, food processing companies, catering in confectioneries, cruise liner, corporate catering, etc.
Departmental catering services of defence and railway departments are also open to them.
The pay scales may vary from place to place, a new entrant can earn about Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per month.
