You can prefer the course based on your interest. If you are good at learning scientific names and many key terminology you can get into B.Sc. Zoology and you can succeed in it or if you are interested in learning various life forms in plants and animals you can go with life sciences both are very good courses.

I am a student of biology stream so don't know much about the maths stream and its future scopes, but yes I can surely say that geology and botany have more scope in India. Geology can take you to so many private, semi-governmental, and governmental jobs in India with interesting works and salary. Botany can either take you to many international work fields if pursued properly and even can take you to environment supporting programme jobs, both private and government. These subjects can lead you the administrative services of India with the help of hard work. There are many further varieties of subjects to combine with these two, if you choose or match correctly, can lead you to a wide range of different work areas and ideas.
